The Secretary of Public Education promotes teacher participation in the new General Law of Secondary Education, aiming to improve labor conditions and reduce school dropout rates.

The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, announced that the participation of teachers in the forums that will determine the new General Law of Medium Education is being promoted. This law aims to expand educational coverage and strengthen the connection with key productive sectors. Delgado Carrillo emphasized that the educational reform will include improvements in the working conditions of teachers at this level, as they play a fundamental role in educational transformation.

In another context, Delgado Carrillo accompanied President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo during a visit to the 'Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz' General Secondary School, where cards from the Bank of Well-Being were distributed to families benefiting from the Universal Basic Education Scholarship program 'Rita Cetina.' In this regard, the commitment was reaffirmed that no student should leave school for economic reasons, thus ensuring the right to education and supporting retention in the educational system.

During the stay in Guanajuato, the No. 77 'Hermanos Aldama' Center for Technological Industrial and Service Studies was visited. There, Mario Delgado Carrillo highlighted that one of the priorities of the Government of Mexico is to transform Higher Secondary Education to combat school dropout and increase enrollment at this educational level. He announced the construction of a new technological high school in León and the conversion of two secondary schools in collaboration with the state government, with the aim of ensuring all young people access to secondary education in high school.
