Sapica 2023: A Major Fashion Event in León

The Sapica fair, considered the most important event of fashion and footwear in Latin America, is preparing for its 92nd edition, attracting both national and international buyers in search of the best of the Mexican industry. Important figures such as Mauricio Blas Battaglia, president of CICEG, and Yazmín Quiroz López, director of Tourism of León, among others, were present at the presentation of the fair.

The event, which will take place from March 4 to 6 at Poliforum León, is expected to gather more than 380 companies and 2,400 brands, consolidating the city as a reference for talent and fashion in Mexico and Latin America.

One of the novelties of this edition is the bet on artificial intelligence in the design of footwear and leather goods. According to Daniela Reyes de Luna, president of Sapica, this technology will allow for predicting trends, optimizing processes, and customizing collections in an unprecedented way, complementing creativity and tradition in design.

In addition to the exhibition of brands and products, Sapica will offer a conference and panel program at the Learning Center addressing key topics such as economic, political, and social challenges in the global era, brand creation for 2025, and the impact of polarization in the fashion industry.

Additionally, attendees will be able to enjoy the traditional trend runway, the presentation of the Industry Builders Award, and a concert scheduled for March 5 by Reik.

An attendance of around 14 thousand visitors from 17 countries is expected, which would generate an economic spill of approximately 43 million pesos during the event. The 92nd edition of Sapica, named "Renova," is set as a turning point that blends artisanal tradition with new technologies to strengthen the global competitiveness of the sector.

The mayor of León, Ale Gutiérrez, highlighted the importance of Sapica not only as a fair but as a driving force that promotes the growth and internationalization of the footwear industry, emphasizing León as a reference in fashion, trends, and quality products.
