The tourist growth of the city of León has experienced a significant increase in recent years, thanks to the organization of large-scale events that have attracted thousands of visitors annually. By 2025, 116 important events are scheduled that not only benefit tourism but also boost the local economy.

The restaurant sector in León has been one of the most benefited by this tourist boom. Employee training in the area is crucial to ensure that tourists enjoy a memorable experience that motivates them to return.

Joaquín Ledesma Nova, the new president of Canirac León, emphasizes the importance of continuing to strengthen the restaurant industry, which has positioned itself as one of the sectors that generates the most jobs in the city. He also highlights that the sustainability of this growth relies on continuous investment in infrastructure, training, and collaboration between the private sector and local authorities.

In León, as a relevant tourist destination in the country, it stands out for its adequate infrastructure and a growing range of services. The ability of the restaurant sector to adapt to the increasing demand and provide quality service has been key to consolidating León as a preferred destination for tourists.

During 2024, more than 2,300 workers received training, and this number is expected to increase by 10% during 2025. Currently, the city has more than 550 restaurants that generate around 31,000 jobs in the region.
