The collaboration between society and the government is key to ensuring that efforts benefiting the community are effective and reach a greater number of people. This synergy has been highlighted by Andrea López Gutiérrez, the general director of DIF León, who emphasized the importance of these joint actions and the positive impact they generate.

One of the fundamental processes to ensure that support reaches those who need it most is access to a wheelchair. To access this resource, interested individuals must go through a detailed evaluation process that includes a socioeconomic study and a medical assessment carried out by DIF León.

Those requiring more information can contact the phone number 477 215 63 00 from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, or go directly to the offices of DIF León at Plaza Revolución 107, San Juan de Dios.

Thanks to the joint initiative of the Rotary Club of León and the City Council, the delivery of 200 wheelchairs was achieved, of which 94 benefited users of DIF León, 54 were given to individuals supported by DIF Irapuato, and 52 were directly provided by the club to those in greatest need.

This alliance between civil society and the Municipal Government has had a significant impact on the lives of 257 people in the last three years, improving their quality of life, strengthening their autonomy, and facilitating their integration into the community. Andrea López Gutiérrez emphasized the gratitude for the trust placed in DIF León to deliver this support to those who truly need it.
