Elements of the León Police secured a firearm and more than 180 doses of drugs during an operation carried out around 4:00 PM in the western area of the city. The arrest occurred after the individual attempted to evade officers by speeding up, which triggered a chase that ended on Epazote Street, where the officers managed to stop him.
After an inspection, a revolver with one live round was found in the possession of the individual, as well as a bag containing 176 packages of crystal meth and seven of marijuana. The detained individual, identified as Eusebio, 46 years old, was made available to the Attorney General's Office to face charges of possession of a firearm and drug-related offenses.
The authorities in León continue to conduct security operations in various areas of the municipality, in an effort to combat drug dealing. During one of these patrols, a suspected drug dealer was detained in the Frutal de la Hacienda neighborhood after a police chase.
In the words of a police spokesperson: "We are committed to eradicating drug trafficking in our community and will continue to take action to ensure the safety of citizens."
