Cristofer 'N', a suspect in the femicide of Karla Patricia Cortés, was arrested in Guanajuato by the authorities. The Attorney General's Office of Guanajuato confirmed that he was captured in a neighborhood in the city of León, where he hid after the robbery and murder of the Uber driver in the Azcapotzalco borough, CDMX.

According to the investigations, Karla Patricia went out to work as an Uber driver on December 29 around 1:30 PM. Hours later, her body was found in a street in the Plenitud neighborhood with a gunshot wound to the head and signs of violence. Her stolen vehicle, a Suzuki Ertiga van, was found in another location.

Authorities indicated that Cristofer 'N' allegedly requested the transportation service around 7:15 PM, coinciding with the time of the crime, approximately at 8:00 PM.

Karla's daughter, Brisa García, used social media to demand justice after the case was initially classified as intentional homicide. This sparked protests from feminist groups and supportive citizens, leading to its reclassification as femicide to advance the investigation.

Cristofer 'N' was arrested on January 18 in León and transferred to the Preventive Detention Center in CDMX. He is charged with femicide and qualified robbery, according to the arrest warrant issued by the judicial authority.

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City reaffirmed its commitment to address cases with a gender perspective and specialized approach, stating that they guarantee a thorough investigation to seek justice, with an emphasis on the protection of women.
