The Mazatlán Carnival 2025 will take place from February 27 to March 4 under the slogan "The Pearl", as planned, according to Sinaloa's Secretary of Government, Feliciano Castro Meléndrez. Regarding security, 3,000 members of the National Guard, the Army, the Navy, the State Police, and the Municipal Police will be deployed in the carnival area and on the roads.
In Castro Meléndrez's words: "Our conviction, starting from assuming the responsibility that belongs to us, is to call, to invite the population to attend the carnival from tomorrow, to enjoy it, to revel in it, to make this occasion a circumstance to grow in spirituality".
The "Safe Road" program will be implemented on strategic routes with monitoring points managed by various authorities. Regarding rumors of groups that will not participate for security reasons, the secretary denied having official information about it. He added that an emergency device and civil protection have been established to ensure the normal development of the event.
The event will begin this Thursday, February 27, at the "Teodoro Mariscal" Stadium with the coronation of the King of the Carnival at 7:30 PM. An invitation is reiterated to enjoy the festival and make this occasion a space for the spiritual growth of the population.
