Mazatlán Carnival 2025: Burning of Bad Humor

On Saturday night, amidst Sinaloan music, fireworks, and a crowd ready to release frustrations, the traditional Burning of Bad Humor took place in Mazatlán. This time, the figure that burned at the event was that of influencer Rodolfo 'Fofo' Márquez, along with all his ego and supposed influences.

The parade started promptly at 8:00 PM with floats, bands of Sinaloan music, and people with cell phones in hand capturing the moment. The star of the night was a figure with a sad woman’s face and a clenched fist, symbolizing the fight against violence towards women.

At 9:11 PM, the leader of the Bolsheviks pronounced a poetic sentence that made clear why this influencer went from showcasing luxury to being condemned to oblivion: 'It wasn't a jealous husband nor a pill-popping nutcase, but a creamy guy who felt predestined. What a nice influence exercised by one with animal instincts!'.

'Fofo' is currently in prison serving a 15-year sentence for having attacked a woman. While the figure was consumed in less than a minute, firefighters quickly extinguished the charred remains of the influencer, who will now be remembered at Carnival as an example that fame does not guarantee impunity.

The Burning of Bad Humor 2025 concluded amidst applause, laughter, and a clear lesson: if you don't know how to use your influence, it's better not to play with fire because sooner or later, you will end up burning.

The International Carnival of Mazatlán 2025 highlighted that bad decisions also have consequences, at least symbolically. This digital media influencer, known as 'Fofo', learned in the worst way that vanity and violence have no place in society.
