Local deputy Juan Manuel Molina shared in an interview the preparation and response of the State and local governments to the increased arrival of migrants in border regions such as Tijuana and Mexicali. He emphasized the coordination between the federal, state, and municipal governments to establish shelters and provide logistical support to address the situation in an organized manner. The importance of being prepared for the increase in deportations due to new U.S. government policies was highlighted.

The legislator mentioned that the Baja California Congress is evaluating the use of extraordinary resources to assist migrants and that they are considering releasing more budget if deemed necessary. He stressed that the preparation of facilities and resources by both the Federation and the State is crucial to prevent a crisis and to ensure the rights of migrants.

Juan Manuel Molina stated that, although an immediate crisis has not been seen, continuous preparation is essential to effectively respond to any future migratory eventuality. Shelters have been established with the support of the Navy and the Army, and it was emphasized that all migrants have rights that must be constitutionally protected.

Regarding legislation to address the situation, it was noted that there is already legislation in place and that reforms will continue to be presented in accordance with campaign commitments. Collaboration with search collectives and the commitment to support the search efforts for missing persons was highlighted. The deputy expressed the Congress's willingness to address any budgetary modification proposed by the Executive in order to prevent any incidents related to the arrival of migrants.
