
During her visit to the State of Baja California, the Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Yasmín Esquivel Mossa, emphasized the importance of the upcoming judicial election, describing it as unprecedented and of great significance for the country.
In meetings with state authorities, entrepreneurs, university representatives, and members of the National Education Workers' Union (SNTE), the Minister explained the phases of the extraordinary electoral process 2025, where Ministers, Magistrates, and Judges will be elected by popular vote. Esquivel Mossa highlighted that the new constitutional framework prioritizes austerity, transparency, prompt justice, democratization, and gender parity.
During her stay in Mexicali and Tijuana, Esquivel Mossa elaborated on the context of the judges who will be elected on June 1 in Baja California. The Minister expressed her affinity for the region, highlighting that her father was born there in 1937.
Accompanying the minister in her activities were the President of the Superior Court of Justice and the Council of the Judiciary of the Government of Baja California, the Attorney General of the entity, the President of the Political Coordination Board of the local Congress, the President of the Administrative Justice Tribunal of Mexico City, as well as deputies, representatives of political parties, and public servants.
