Achieving the goals of clean energy generation is crucial to meet the emission reduction commitments agreed to by Mexico in the Paris Agreement. The industrial sector acknowledges and values the initiatives of the Federal Government to collaborate with the private sector in the generation of clean energy. This collaboration aims to strengthen the energy sector in Mexico, increase the supply of energy at lower costs, and improve the competitiveness of companies in the country.
Reducing dependence on fossil fuels and increasing investment in renewable energies will significantly contribute to improving the conditions of the industry. This translates into increased productivity for companies, reduced costs, and a more sustainable balance between productive activities and the development of the sector. The increase in the share of clean energy in net energy generation is essential, considering that it currently stands at 25.7%, which represents a deficit of 12,855 megawatts.
