Entrepreneurship and Alliances in Monterrey

The entrepreneurial ecosystem of Monterrey, led by incMTY, seeks to establish connections with Elon Musk's companies in Texas. Rogelio De los Santos, founding partner of Dalus Capital and chairman of the incMTY board, highlighted the proximity of Monterrey to Musk's operations and the region's relevance in areas such as aerospace industry, electric and autonomous mobility, as well as the development of more sustainable industries.

In this context, the incMTY Festival "Face the future" will take place from March 18 to 20, 2025 at Tec de Monterrey, UANL, and Cintermex. De los Santos pointed out the collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin and other institutes operating in Texas to address challenges related to water, mobility, and green energy.

The event expects to receive more than 10,000 attendees from over 20 countries, mainly from Texas and Quebec, Canada. Throughout the history of incMTY, several participating startups have raised more than $1 billion in venture capital, and all Mexican unicorns have been backed by the organization.

Despite the tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which have affected various industries, no negative impact on the relationship of the binational entrepreneurial ecosystem has been observed. De los Santos emphasized the importance of talent connection and collaboration to strengthen the relationship with business partners, underscoring that knowledge cannot be subject to tariffs.
