Monterrey, Nuevo León, is set to host the BLAST Premier Rivals esports tournament from April 30 to May 4, 2025, showcasing the city's growing influence in the gaming industry on a global scale.

The Monterrey-based company Liga ACE is organizing the esports tournament BLAST Premier Rivals in Nuevo León, which will take place from April 30 to May 4, 2025, in Monterrey. This event will feature the participation of the top eight teams and players of Counter-Strike worldwide, competing for a prize pool of 1 million dollars.

Octavio Echeagaray, general director of Liga ACE, highlighted the importance of this tournament for positioning Monterrey and Nuevo León on the global stage of electronic sports. For his part, Emmanuel Loo, in charge of the Secretariat of Economy of Nuevo León, pointed out that thanks to events like this, the region is consolidating as an esports hub in Latin America.

The estimated economic investment for the tournament amounts to 12.5 million dollars, and thousands of fans are expected to attend. The competition will take place at the GNP Seguros stage of Pabellón M in Monterrey and will be broadcast in 155 countries and in over 30 languages, with the expectation of reaching 30 million viewers over the five days of the event.
