In Monterrey, at the Cintermex venue, various industrial exhibitions will be held, estimated to generate an economic impact of 10 billion dollars in purchase orders, according to Emmanuel Loo, head of the Economic Secretariat of Nuevo León.
Emphasizing that the exhibitions aim to promote business and direct commercial meetings, Loo detailed that each expo typically generates around one billion dollars, with the automotive industry having the highest amount at four billion dollars, followed by the home appliance industry with two billion.
Lisette Sierra, general director of Cintermex, highlighted that the five largest industrial exhibitions coincide for the first time in the same year at the fairgrounds. Notable events include Expo Manufactura, Fabtech, Expo Meats and Dairy, Expo Transportation Suppliers and Logistics, and AHR Expo Mexico.
For his part, Loo mentioned that an economic impact of 500 million pesos is expected from the five largest exhibitions, affecting the local economy through hotels, restaurants, and peripheral services to the exhibitions.
Regarding the growth of the air conditioning industry in Nuevo León, Loo emphasized that this industry is in a phase of expansion, especially due to the demand for chillers from Data Centers. More air conditioning equipment manufacturing companies are expected to establish themselves in the state to complement the supply of this constantly growing sector.
In the realm of Foreign Direct Investment, it was noted that companies from various sectors continue to invest in Nuevo León. An example of this is a logistics company from the United States based in Dallas that invested 85 million dollars in its corporate facilities, which could attract more investments to the state in the future. Additionally, it was confirmed that companies in the automotive sector will maintain their investment programs despite potential political changes at the international level.
