A delegation from Nuevo León actively participated throughout the weekend in the SXSW (South by Southwest) Festival in Austin. The main mission was to promote Nuevo León and Monterrey, led by Emmanuel Loo, Rogelio de los Santos from Dalus Capital, Mario García Davila from Angel Hub Ventures, Moris Dieck, and Carlos Serna from the Ministry of Economy. The PEAK Nuevo León initiative aimed to connect with the international innovation ecosystem and invite participation in the incMTY event to be held from March 18 to 20 in Monterrey.
The SXSW Festival in Austin is recognized as an ideal platform to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship in Mexico. incMTY, which will take place from March 18 to 20 in Monterrey, is an event where innovation and talent come together to drive economic development and investment for the future. With over 200 activities aimed at entrepreneurs, executives, investors, students, and officials, the twelfth edition of the festival expects to bring together more than 10,000 participants from 20 countries.
The festival will take place at multiple venues, including Cintermex, Tec de Monterrey (in the new Monterrey Innovation District / Expedition FEMSA), and UANL Campus Mederos. One of its main objectives is to promote economic development and strengthen relationships with the United States, especially with Texas and Silicon Valley.
During the event, key meetings were held, such as the one with the President of the Texas Association of Business, Glenn Hamer, and the Consul General of Mexico in Austin, Humberto Hernández Haddad, to strengthen collaboration in innovation, talent, and trade. A dialogue was also held with industry leaders, policymakers, and trade experts to address strategies that promote trilateral integration among the United States, Mexico, and Canada within the framework of the USMCA.
Additionally, Monterrey Digital Hub, driven by Mauricio Muñoz, actively participated in several activities throughout the weekend in Austin to support its initiative. In another relevant event attended by the delegation, at the TechMex house, Mexican entrepreneurs managed to stand out and establish themselves in the U.S. market. On that occasion, Vinco, with its educational platform, was the winner of the TechMex 2025 pitch competition. This is how incMTY consolidates itself as a space for innovation that promotes collaboration and development in crucial and complex times.
