The BBVA Stadium, located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, is preparing to welcome fans of Shakira for her first concert in Mexico as part of the ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’ tour. Although many people were unable to get tickets, there is still a possibility to purchase tickets on the resale market, although prices have skyrocketed, tripling in some cases.
Shakira will kick off her series of concerts in Mexico today, Wednesday, March 12, with a live performance in Monterrey. The singer has several dates scheduled in the country, which will prevent her from continuing her tour in other parts of the world until March 30. She will perform on March 12 and 13 at the BBVA Stadium in Monterrey, on March 16 and 17 at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, and from March 19 to 30 at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City.
When tickets went on sale, the prices including Ticketmaster fees for Shakira's concert in Monterrey ranged widely. For example, the Court A ticket cost $8,050, while the most accessible ticket, North General, was priced at $730. However, resale prices have risen significantly. On StubHub, a popular platform for buying and selling tickets, current prices are much higher than the original prices. For instance, Court A is listed at $20,375 and Court B at $15,281. Additionally, prices for the General Court vary between $8,275 and $10,695. This increase in resale prices has caused discontent among Shakira's followers who are looking to attend her concert in Monterrey.
