A special musical tribute titled "The Sons of Northern Legends" will bring together the children of renowned interpreters of the northern genre, who promise to take to the stage the hits that marked an entire era. The descendants of Pedro Yerena, Juan Salazar, Catalino Leos (Willy Leos), Mario Saucedo, and Arnulfo “El Coyote” Blanco will perform on March 19 at 3:00 PM at the La Bohemia Restaurant in downtown Monterrey.
The event, which seeks to revive the essence of the music that has charmed so many generations, is the result of a project that began in 2012 when entrepreneur Óscar Flores brought together the heirs of these northern legends to record an album. The success of this production, released in 2013, solidified the idea of "The Sons of Northern Legends."
The musicians assure that the tribute will be an afternoon full of nostalgia and emotion, with a repertoire that will include northern boleros and the great hits that endure in the collective memory of the region. Juan Salazar Jr. mentioned the importance of honoring their parents and keeping alive the essence of classic northern music.
The event will also serve as a platform to present new material, including the single titled "As Good Friends" in collaboration with Los Hermanos Bravo, an emblematic group of the genre. Furthermore, they are preparing a special show called The Last Round, which aims to recreate the authenticity and purity of northern music.
The members of "The Sons of Northern Legends" hinted that they plan a tour to take this tribute to different places, keeping their parents' legacy alive and connecting with new generations that value the musical tradition of the north. This event on March 19 will mark the beginning of a movement that promises to rescue the essence of great northern hits and keep their musical heritage alive.
