The incMTY Festival has consolidated the city of Monterrey as an important catalyst for investment in innovation. Thomas Michael Hogg, CEO of the entrepreneurship technology platform, highlighted that Monterrey has become a place where innovation and entrepreneurship drive economic development and investment into the future.
Despite political challenges, Monterrey's entrepreneurial ecosystem is strengthening its connection with the United States, particularly with Texas. Notable entrepreneurs and professionals from the tech sector, such as José Menéndez (Groq), Lorena Bravo (Google), Marcus Dantus, and Horacio Marchand, have been present, focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on economic and social transformation.
The festival has presented key initiatives, such as the PEAK Nuevo León Pavilion, the Tourist Investment Pavilion from the Ministry of Tourism, and the Shero Zone focusing on female empowerment in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The incMTY activities will take place until March 20 at various locations, such as Cintermex, Tec de Monterrey, and five faculties of UANL at Campus Mederos, culminating again at Cintermex.
AngelHub Ventures announced 17 new investments in Latin American startups during the event, and more than 380 speakers and panelists are participating in incMTY. Events like the Health Tech Summit, exploring medical technology, and the Expo Future Now, where companies like Google, Microsoft, and Siemens present their latest technological innovations, are part of the activities.
The festival also stands out for its achievements in investment and its focus on collaboration between sectors to drive innovation and strengthen the national and international economy. In addition to the presence of delegations from Texas, California, and Canada, incMTY has expanded its global reach with representatives from various regions and countries, from Silicon Valley to Argentina and Denmark.
The event, celebrating its twelfth edition, was attended by the Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, the president of incMTY, Rogelio de los Santos, and the rectors of Tec de Monterrey and UANL. This year, incMTY has expanded its activities in Cintermex, Tec de Monterrey, and the new Innovation District of Monterrey.
Investment has also been a highlighted topic during the festival, with significant announcements, such as Clivi's $12 million investment. Companies like Nufi, WAS Company, eFactor Networks, and Duppla have also contributed to this investment trend during the event.
