Governor Samuel García confirmed that there will be a "Korean Day" during the World Cup celebrations. The state governor stated that this event will take place on June 24, when the South Korea and South Africa national teams play at the BBVA Stadium. "A Korean Day at the FanFest… the day of the Korea-South Africa match, there will be a Korean Day," expressed García. He announced that he will soon reveal the lineup, but mentioned that it will feature several prominent artists of this genre. "Very good K-Pop groups," he affirmed. On April 8, at the start of his tour in Asia, García confirmed the statements of Bernardo Bichara, executive president of the Nuevo León FIFA 26 Coordinating Committee, who on February 24 had revealed that negotiations were already underway to bring artists of this musical style to the FanFest to be held at the Parque Fundidora. He noted that they are collaborating to provide the best possible experience for Koreans in Nuevo León. During his stay in Korea, the governor took the opportunity to invite executives from companies considering investing or expanding in Nuevo León to the game between their national team and South Africa. "Remember we have a direct flight from Seoul to Monterrey and we are ready to welcome you as you deserve in Nuevo León," he said.
