Within the framework of her experience in the public and cultural sector of the State Government, the Secretary of Culture in Nuevo León highlighted the establishment of a cultural sector as one of the most significant milestones of the new administration. For the first time, long-standing institutions such as the Museum of Mexican History and CONARTE came together under a single vision of governance, marking a historical change in collaboration among cultural organizations in the region.

The official emphasized the collaboration between the Secretary of Culture and the Council for Culture and Arts of Nuevo León to enhance artistic development. The importance of the Santa Lucía Festival was emphasized as the highlight event of the year, as well as the commitment to the 3 State Museums and the inauguration of the new Museum La Milarca, considered world-class.

Regarding concrete achievements, the implementation of Educational Development programs that benefited more than 260,000 attendees, particularly girls, boys, and their families, was highlighted. Additionally, 17,000 cultural mediation sessions focused on early childhood were conducted, along with Culture and Sustainability activities that positively impacted the environmental awareness of thousands of children in the region.

Cultural participation was enhanced through the organization of 17 Neighborhood Festivals and 10 Macrofest events, which collectively reached over 731,000 attendees. The head of Culture emphasized the relevance of Governor Samuel García's decision to create the first Secretary of Culture in Nuevo León as a significant step towards a new path for culture in the region.

During her first three years of management, Melissa Segura Guerrero has been a pioneer in promoting culture in the state, highlighting the achievement of over 250 activities celebrating the 200 years of Nuevo León. In her speech at Nuevo León Informa, the Secretary summarized the successes and projections achieved, basing her work on five strategic axes: Educational Development, Cultural Heritage, Creative Economy, Cultural Participation, and Cultural Governance.
