Nuevo León Strengthens its Film Industry

The state of Nuevo León reaffirms its position as an attractive destination for film productions following the approval of the Film Law. This legislation aims to strengthen the film industry in the region by providing incentives and facilities for audiovisual projects, promoting Nuevo León as an emerging destination in this sector.

The Government of Nuevo León, through the Secretary of Tourism, the Secretary of Culture, the Secretary of Economy, and the Interactive Media Cluster, has closely collaborated with the local audiovisual industry to carry out this initiative. Constant dialogue between the government and representatives of the film industry was fundamental in the creation of this law.

The Secretary of Tourism identified the opportunity to position the state as a competitive filming location, taking advantage of its unique venues, such as the Magical Towns and tourist municipalities. Along with its modern infrastructure, road network, and airport facilities, Nuevo León presents itself as an attractive destination for drawing film productions.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Economy will facilitate the guidelines for investment, ensuring that the state has the necessary conditions for the development of large projects. The active participation of the local industry has been key in creating a legal structure that meets the needs of the sector and projects Nuevo León on a global level.

This law will not only promote tourism and film productions but will also diversify the economy and benefit the economic and tourism development of municipalities outside the metropolitan area. With this initiative, Nuevo León seeks to establish itself as a reference point in the national and international audiovisual landscape.
