The incMTY event will evolve in its 2025 edition to transition from being a festival to a platform that promotes entrepreneurship in Nuevo León and Mexico. Thomas Michael Hogg, CEO of incMTY, mentioned that the event started 12 years ago as an entrepreneurship festival at Tec de Monterrey and has grown to develop a complete ecosystem for entrepreneurs and investors.
The upcoming changes include the incorporation of new universities, such as UANL, and expanding the audience by including music in the event. The intention is to make it more massive and appealing to a broader spectrum of people. It is expected that in the coming years more than 100,000 people will attend, with the first edition in March anticipating between 20,000 and 30,000 attendees, including 5,000 entrepreneurs and 5,000 representatives from the private sector.
The goal is to apply best practices from internationally recognized events such as CES in Las Vegas and Hannover Messe. The event will take place in Monterrey just after South by Southwest in Austin, with the intention of attracting international participants and fostering collaboration among different entrepreneurship events.
Rogelio De los Santos, Founding Managing Partner of Dalus Capital and chairman of the incMTY Board, emphasized the importance of consolidating investments and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The main focus is to enhance Nuevo León as a leader in innovation and bring together diverse stakeholders such as government, corporations, universities, entrepreneurs, and capital providers to turn ideas into actions with a positive impact on the economy, environment, and well-being of people.
