Premio Mujer Tec 2023: A Recognition of Women Leaders

The Center for the Recognition of Human Dignity (CRDH) of Tecnológico de Monterrey has launched the call for the 13th edition of the Tec Woman Award under the slogan “Let’s Change the Perspective.” This recognition seeks to highlight women from the educational community of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Tecmilenio, and TecSalud who are challenging paradigms, inspiring change, and contributing to a more equitable future.

Since its inception, more than 230 women have been recognized by this initiative, making it a benchmark in the fight for gender equality. Through success stories, the Tec Woman Award motivates other women to continue leading and innovating in their respective fields.

The main objective of this recognition is to empower new generations of women who seek to make a difference. According to the “Women in the Workplace 2023” study by McKinsey, the visibility of women in leadership roles is essential to inspire others to follow the same path.

The call for the Tec Woman Award will be open until November 30, and women who are generating change in different areas can participate. The award categories include Arts and Cultural Management, Sciences, Citizenship with a Gender Perspective, Sports and Sports Management, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Transformational Leadership, Health and Well-being, and Technological Transformation.

Additionally, two special awards will be given to outstanding women in the Career and Lumi Velázquez Pioneer category. The awardees will receive the Mulliere Amet medal, inspired by the iconic Fearless Girl sculpture by Kristen Visbal, in a ceremony scheduled for March 12, 2025, in commemoration of International Women's Day, at the Monterrey Campus.

The Tec Woman Award, created in 2013 by Dr. Luz María Velázquez, is a recognition of the work of women who are building a more equal and just future. Through this award, the aim is to make visible and empower the women who are making a difference in their communities and sectors.
