A strong smell of gas has caused alarm among residents in the south of Monterrey, who have experienced nausea, vomiting, and general discomfort. Reports from the local population have alerted the State and Monterrey Civil Protection authorities, who have already begun supervision efforts in the area.
Some residents expressed their concern about the situation. In the words of X Deey Huerta: 'People from the south of Monterrey noticing a gas smell?' Meanwhile, Fernando Valtierra, another resident, reported: 'It smells like gas here in the southern area (Garza Sada and Junco de la Vega).' The intensity of the smell reached areas such as Guadalupe, specifically in Jardines de La Pastora, near Contry, as well as around Avenida Revolución and Nuevo Sur.
It has been suggested that the odor may have originated from the drainage system and that this problem is recurrent during periods of low temperatures. Authorities continue to gather information and monitor the situation to determine the actions to take.
