Samuel García's administration is focused on providing assistance to the entire population during the harsh conditions of the cold front number 24, especially to those in street situations. To protect the vulnerable population from low temperatures, blankets, basic supplies, and hot drinks were delivered at the María Siempre Virgen Missionary Center.
"We are aware 24 hours a day that we need to help everyone, providing blankets and warmth; and in this case, I am very happy to be sharing food, coffee, and chocolate," García expressed during his visit, accompanied by the Secretary of Equality and Inclusion, Martha Herrera.
The Secretary of Equality and Inclusion, in collaboration with State Civil Protection, has implemented special operations to assist more than 6,000 vulnerable people, prioritizing their safety and well-being in the face of low temperatures.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Secretary of Health, blankets have been delivered to patients in various state hospitals. There will also be patrols in peripheral municipalities and communities in the southern region where winter conditions are harsher.
The Government of Nuevo León urges the population to stay warm and sheltered to avoid exposure to cold weather, especially for those with respiratory problems or chronic illnesses. It is recommended to stay informed through the official channels of the State Government, as well as the Secretary of Equality and Inclusion and State Civil Protection.
