Political Tensions Rise Over Budget Negotiations in Monterrey

The PRI-PAN coalition deputies expressed their interest in directly dialoguing with Governor Samuel García to discuss the 2025 Budget. The PRI Coordinator, Heriberto Treviño, insisted on the importance of meeting with the governor to analyze his proposals without showing submission and ensuring an impartial handling of resources, focusing on benefiting the municipalities.

In this sense, the local deputy from Morena, Anylú Hernández, emphasized the need for all political factions to participate in the meetings, not limiting the discussion to specific leaders. She highlighted that dialogue is fundamental to reach agreements that benefit the state, focusing on critical issues such as public transportation, mobility, security, and support for the magical towns.

Regarding this, Governor Samuel García's lack of openness to meet with opposition deputies has led to a halt in preliminary negotiations about the 2025 Budget. Political coordinators have been dialoguing among themselves, but the absence of a dialogue table with the executive has generated uncertainty about the progress of discussions.

In this context, representatives of the PRI-PAN coalition have insisted on the need to establish direct dialogue with the governor to ensure that budget proposals are analyzed fairly and prioritize the benefit of the municipalities. They emphasize the importance of all parties involved participating in discussions to reach agreements that promote development and equity in the state.
