Nuevo León Governor Reports on Security and Investment Advances

Governor Samuel García presented his fourth government report this Sunday, mentioning advances in security, investment, and mobility. "In the first year of government, there were many problems, COVID effects, closed schools, closed businesses, it was necessary to put Nuevo León back on the international map, and in the second year we were already leaders in nearshoring," stated Samuel, who was accompanied by Governor of Jalisco Pablo Lemus, former MC leader Dante Delgado, and current leader Jorge Álvarez Máynez. In terms of security, he highlighted that Fuerza Civil currently has 16 detachments and that an investment of over 30 billion pesos was made for the improvement of the corporation: "it is the best police in the country, the best equipped, and the figures demonstrate it." He also assured that he hopes to reach the next World Cup with a total of 7,000 elements. Regarding infrastructure, he mentioned investment in highways, low-emission buses, and two new metro lines. "In forty years, no government had promoted new highways, and we have already started four and will do three more," he assured. He insisted on the pro-investment climate of his administration and stated that the business sector has already invested more than 115 billion dollars so far in his sexenio. Samuel also mentioned improvements in social policies, water infrastructure, and education. He had strong support from federal government envoys led by César Yáñez, the usual interlocutor between Samuel and President Claudia Sheinbaum.
