Within the Citizen Movement (MC) party, there is a possibility that whoever fails to secure the gubernatorial candidacy between Mariana Rodríguez and Luis Donaldo Colosio will join the campaign for the capital. On the other hand, Raúl Lozano and Alma Rosa Marroquín are also mentioned. Following the national leader of MC, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, unveiling eight profiles for the governorship in Nuevo León, the party understands that only Mariana Rodríguez, Luis Donaldo Colosio, Miguel Flores, and Félix Arratia are aspiring to the position, while the rest are leveraging their structures in various municipalities. Among the eight aspirants mentioned are mayors who have not ruled out reaching the Palace of Cantera, such as Héctor García and Félix Arratia. However, both have the mission to reinforce their structures in their respective municipalities, Guadalupe and Juárez, and seek re-election. Martha Herrera was also mentioned, who is mobilizing all her efforts to secure the candidacy in Monterrey. In MC, it is believed that Álvarez Máynez maintains a preference for the senator due to his national projection, but the decision of the state executive will carry considerable weight in the orange candidacy, so Mariana Rodríguez is still being considered. Although they are close allies of Governor Samuel García, Lozano Caballero is seeking the mayoralty of García, and the Secretary of Health is being considered for a rural municipality in Montemorelos, while also touring a local district north of Monterrey. The one left out of these eight gubernatorial aspirants was Raúl Cantú, the mayor of Salinas Victoria, who was previously unveiled by the local leader, Baltazar Martínez, and is one of the local actors most aligned with Luis Donaldo Colosio. In light of this, the dispute for the governorship leans towards Colosio and Mariana.
