The famous comedian Platanito has responded after receiving criticism for his comments related to the death of a girl who was a controversial topic on social media. Despite the controversy, the comedian defends himself by asserting that his jokes were not intended to hurt anyone and that he was simply doing his job as a humorist.
In an interview, Platanito explained that, despite being 52 years old, he feels part of the new generation of comedy creators. Referring to the situation in Monterrey, where it had to be clarified that his comments were not aimed at the lack of water in the area, the comedian stated that regardless of his actions, there will always be opposing opinions about him.
Platanito also addressed the issue of double standards in comedy and exemplified it with the case of Adrián Marcelo, highlighting that despite the initial criticism, the comedian now enjoys success and fills theaters. The humorist acknowledged that perhaps his jokes had been intense on certain occasions, but that, at the end of the day, it was about humor.
The legal process he was involved in with the father of the deceased girl has not affected his career, and Platanito is confident that his innocence will be demonstrated. He highlighted the evolution of clowns in comedy and how many have gone from performing on the streets to succeeding on stages, mentioning the case of a successful colleague.
Regarding the accusations against him, the comedian asserted that his show is not based on black humor despite the misunderstandings surrounding his jokes. He emphasized that, despite the lawsuit he faced, he never mocked the death of the young girl but rather questioned the governmental verdict associated with her passing.
