Rayados del Monterrey Negotiates for Sergio Ramos

The Monterrey club, led by Argentine Martín Demichelis, has started negotiations to sign the Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, a legend of Real Madrid. The news was confirmed by the team's sports president, José Antonio ‘Tato’ Noriega, who mentioned that Ramos is a real option among other possibilities being considered.

Sergio Ramos, known for his multiple titles with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, has won numerous championships both nationally and internationally. Football-wise raised in Sevilla and having played for Paris Saint-Germain, Ramos would be a significant reinforcement for Monterrey, joining other prominent players in the team.

In the current squad of Rayados de Monterrey, there are already other Spaniards like Sergio Canales and Óliver Torres, as well as players with a history in the Spanish league such as Lucas Ocampos, Jesús ‘Tecatito’ Corona, and Héctor Moreno. The potential arrival of Sergio Ramos would be enthusiastically received by the coaching staff and the team’s fans, who seek to strengthen their squad amid the injury of their defender Carlos Salcedo.

Salcedo's injury, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during his first training session with Monterrey, has left the team in need of a high-level center-back. The Rayados, with multiple titles in their history, are looking to consolidate their squad ahead of their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup, being one of the three Mexican teams chosen for the competition.
