The painful elimination in the Concachampions at the hands of Vancouver Whitecaps has called into question the continuity of Martín Demichelis as coach of the Monterrey team. The team has also failed to show its best version in the local tournament. The match against Pumas will be crucial for the Argentine coach since a defeat could mean his farewell to the Nuevo León club.
Martín Demichelis, 44 years old, took charge of Monterrey in August of last year. So far, he has managed 33 matches with a record of 14 wins, 11 draws, and 8 losses.
