Lucas Ocampos of Rayados faces a two-match suspension for violent conduct after his altercation with Edgar Guerra during a match against León. He will miss crucial playoffs against Pumas.

Lucas Ocampos Suspended for Violent Conduct

The Disciplinary Commission announced on November 15 the sanction imposed on Rayados player, Lucas Ocampos, for assaulting Edgar Guerra, a León player, during the match of matchday 17. Ocampos received a two-match suspension for violent conduct, which will leave him out of the Quarterfinals against Pumas UNAM, being a significant absence for his team.

In the 85th minute of the match between Monterrey and León, Lucas Ocampos received a hard tackle from Edgar Guerra, which triggered a series of mutual assaults. The referee called the foul, but Guerra's reaction angered Ocampos, who responded with an elbow. Both players were penalized with a two-match suspension for their behavior.

In Ocampos's absence, Rayados have Jesús Tecatito Corona and Johan Rojas as possible options to fill the vacancy in the starting eleven. Despite the importance of the Argentine in the team, they have a competitive squad that can cover his absence in the Quarterfinals.
