
The governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, announced the creation of a space to honor outstanding Puebla athletes and promote local pride. This initiative aims to recognize those who have made their mark in their disciplines.
Among the important changes to be made in government buildings, Armenta detailed a series of modifications to optimize space usage and improve citizen services. For example, the Ministry of Tourism will move its offices from the CIS of San Javier to the Protocol Hall, located in the zócalo of Puebla.
Additionally, the Protocol Hall is planned to host a new crafts gallery to promote local culture. The DIF Archive will also be relocated to the CIS of San Javier to have a more suitable space. Finally, the CIS of San Javier will be converted into a museum, with the aim of leveraging its historical value and enriching the cultural offering of the city.
Regarding the Sports Hall of Fame, it was reported that this will be installed in the crafts gallery, located next to the Puebla Cathedral. A government representation office will also be established in the Protocol Hall, as detailed by Armenta.
The governor also mentioned the relocation of several government agencies to optimize resources and utilize historical spaces. Armenta emphasized the importance of intervening in Paseo Bravo to enhance tourist attraction and create a more appealing environment for both visitors and local residents.
In this regard, it was announced that the State DIF System, currently located in the Historic Center of Puebla, will move to the offices of the Ministry of Tourism on Avenida Reforma. The goal is to make better use of the spaces and provide better service to citizens.
