Books, music, creativity, workshops, and university talent — the 39th FENALI BUAP edition surpassed all expectations in visitor numbers, with over 80,000 attendees turning this event into the most important cultural celebration at the Máxima Casa de Estudios in Puebla.
For ten days, the various spaces of the Carolino Building were filled with the public, who enjoyed 223 book and magazine presentations with authors such as Jorge Volpi, Ángeles Mastretta, Anisuz Zaman, Gabriela Damián Miravete, Isabel Revuelta Poo, Daniel San Mateo, and Pedro Ángel Palou, among others.
There were also 35 poetry and story readings, 84 artistic presentations, 51 workshops, as well as the screening of nine short films, recreational activities, reading promotion initiatives, 41 round tables, conferences, and nine forums, totaling 457 cultural and artistic activities, all offered free of charge.
Additionally, 154 booths were set up, where 250 publishing houses offered printed works of various literary, academic, and scientific genres at accessible prices with special discounts.
Nearly four decades after the National Book Fair began at BUAP, it is already considered one of the most important in the country, which reaffirms the institution's humanistic spirit and its commitment to spreading and bringing culture to society.
