BUAP Students Win National Hackathon

BUAP student teams took first place in the 'App Development' and 'Smart Route' categories at a hackathon organized by 3B, defeating competitors from leading Mexican technical universities.


BUAP Students Win National Hackathon

Students from the Faculty of Computer Sciences at BUAP won the Hackathon organized by the 3B store chain in the categories of Application Development (app) and Smart Route, demonstrating their ability to solve real industry problems.

The team "Chilaquil", composed of Marco Favio Cadena Vázquez, Edmundo Farid Morales Zurita, Arturo de Jesús Guevara Durán, María Fernanda Guzmán Ortiz, and Melina Tatiana Cabrera Piñón, won with an application that solved a challenge related to the shopping experience, time optimization, and simplicity of payment methods.

The second team, "Dinastía BUAP", made up of Francisco Iván Torres Flores, Kevin Gael García Cristobal, Érika Amastal Xochimitl, Emilio Escobedo García, and José Raúl Soriano Cazabal, won in the Smart Route category by developing technology that improves cargo allocation and logistics routes for the company's transport trucks.

BUAP students stood out for their skills and technological creativity, competing with peers from other institutions such as the National Polytechnic Institute, the Veracruzana University, and the Monterrey Institute of Technology.
