The municipal president of Puebla, José "Pepe" Chedraui Budib, decided to maintain Fernando Rosales Solís as head of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) despite protests from police officers over the murder of two agents in the capital. The decision not to remove Rosales was communicated after a meeting between the mayor and municipal officials at the Citizen Security Complex, where it was indicated that the decision should be considered by the City Council.

In the meeting, which took place at Rancho Colorado, important agreements were reached, such as a biannual salary increase, which is considered progress in the labor conditions of the agents. However, the dismissal of Fernando Rosales remains a pending request. To address this issue, it was agreed that the police would meet with municipal authorities next Thursday to analyze their demands and discuss possible adjustments to the structure of the secretariat.

Before the meeting with the police, the mayor mentioned the possibility of including a military command in the direction of the security corporation, a topic that will be evaluated in collaboration with the state government. During a wake in honor of the fallen officers on March 1, Chedraui indicated that he would hold a private meeting with groups from the security corporation that have expressed their concerns.

In response to the suggestion of the Secretary of the Interior regarding the incorporation of a military command, Chedraui explained that the proposal would be studied together with the state government and that the topic would be addressed in the next meeting. He also assured that there would be no work stoppage and that the police would continue to perform their duties normally in the city.

On the other hand, the Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that the Undersecretary of Police Operations, Gustavo Alonso González Zapata "Sauce", submitted his resignation irrevocably.
