Puebla's Government Addresses Cable Car Maintenance Issues

Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier pointed out the need to address the inherited problems from previous administrations without politicizing the situation or blaming specific individuals. He mentioned that while he recognizes the importance of past works, it is crucial to question the abuse of power that enabled the execution of projects like the International Baroque Museum, whose cost exceeds 14 billion pesos.

Regarding the Puebla Star, Armenta Mier stated that it will continue to operate normally despite the lack of visitors since its reopening on December 5th. Concerning the city's Cable Car, a viable option for its maintenance is being evaluated as it is currently inactive.

"The only thing the Cable Car has served for, so far, is Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men's flight," the governor ironically expressed while mentioning the situation of the Cable Car. He explained that it needs new parts for maintenance because it was purchased as a prototype, generating significant costs.

In a conference, Armenta Mier assured that the government is committed to carrying out mega projects without engaging in corrupt practices. A solution is being sought to restore the Cable Car and put it back into operation, despite the financial challenges associated with this task.
