Sports Projection and Medal Goal
Meanwhile, Fernando Ortega Ramos, General Director of Code Jalisco, stated that the main objective is to win the 25th championship title, as part of the state's sports model follow-up.
"We are going for the 25th title; it represents a fundamental goal for the sports model of Jalisco, almost a quarter of a century of being number one and establishing an integral model," said Ortega Ramos.
Regarding results, Carlos González, Director of Competitive Sports, indicated that the projection includes 422 gold medals.
"The projection we have to achieve the 25th title is with 422 gold medals. Jalisco will begin its participation in the CONADE National Olympics 2026 with the objective of obtaining its 25th consecutive championship title. The national competition will begin on April 15 with the main venue in Puebla and will extend until June 2. We are the only state, throughout the history of the National Olympics, to have achieved more than 400 gold medals," stated González Cisneros.
Likewise, Salvador Chávez highlighted the athletes' preparation for the national competition.
"The athletes understand and feel that spark of wearing the Jalisco jersey, and the results are there for all to see," commented Chávez.
Background and Recent Performance of the Jalisco Delegation
The Jalisco Selection arrives at the 2026 edition after registering a total of 1,074 medals in 2025, of which 481 were gold, 298 silver, and 295 bronze, which represented a historical record for the entity.
In terms of evolution, the state's performance has shown a sustained growth: between 1996 and 2010, it went from around 80 to more than 300 medals; between 2010 and 2019, it remained in a range of 320 to 380; and from 2022 to 2025, it increased from 389 to 481 medals.

The competitors will participate in 26 disciplines within the official program.
Disciplines and Jalisco's Organization as a Host Venue
As part of the organization, Jalisco will host competitions in athletics, modern pentathlon, bowling, shooting, water polo, field hockey, skateboarding, and cycling in its different modalities: track, road, mountain, BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, and time trial.
The authorities of the State Council for the Promotion of Sports (Code Jalisco) informed that the state has the infrastructure and operational capacity to receive these disciplines, as part of the 30th anniversary of the National Olympics.
In this context, the entity will also serve as a host venue from April 18 to May 24. It should be noted that the state delegation will be made up of 2,313 athletes, of which 273 belong to the interior of the state and represent 45 municipalities.
