
The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, led the presentation of haute couture collections that fused traditional fabrics with contemporary designs, in collaboration with renowned Mexican designers and local textile artisans. The event also showcased Lelélé dolls intervened by the designers, with the aim of highlighting the historical and cultural value of Querétaro and the beauty of the Otomí fabrics from Amealco.
The runway, conducted in association with Fashion Days Raíces, featured the participation of prominent designers such as Ágata Ruiz de la Prada, Carmen Rion, and Daniela Bustos Maya. This initiative aims to strengthen strategic alliances to promote craftsmanship as a tourist attraction and provide artisans with opportunities for promotion, training, and marketing.
The event, attended by tourism entrepreneurs, executives, travel agents, and international media, included the presence of the state tourism secretary, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, the cabinet chief, Rogelio Vega Vázquez Mellado, the secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, as well as the mayors of Corregidora and Colón, Josué Guerrero and Gaspar Trueba.
