El Diario de Querétaro will celebrate its 62nd anniversary with a sporting event that will include distances of 10 kilometers and half marathon. The race will take place on Saturday, March 29, on Avenida Constituyentes, in front of the newspaper's facilities, with the start and finish point in the same place.
The event, which is part of the Circuito Running OEM 2025, has a limited capacity of 1,500 participants and is expected to gather runners from different states of the country. The kits for participants will be distributed on Friday, March 28, at the Diario de Querétaro facilities.
Ángel García, Commercial Manager of TAR Aerolíneas, has announced that a certificate of $10,000.00 MXN for flights will be awarded to the top finishers in each category. Registrations cost $400.00 MXN until February 16 and $450.00 MXN after that date, with special discounts for groups of more than 10 runners.
The route will be through the central lanes of Bernardo Quintana and for the half marathon will extend to Parque Querétaro 2000, with two laps of the circuit before returning to the finish line. Each participant will receive a medal as recognition upon finishing the race.
The race promises to be a unique experience for running enthusiasts, who will have the opportunity to traverse iconic avenues of Querétaro. The 10-kilometer runners will reach the height of Plaza Bulevares before returning to Avenida Constituyentes, in a route that seeks to combine sport and celebration for the anniversary of the newspaper.
