The National Electoral Institute (INE) has established February 10 as the deadline for citizens to request their registration or update their voter ID ahead of the elections on June 1, where judges for the Federal Judiciary will be elected. In this context, the INE in Querétaro urges young people who will turn 18 between February 11 and election day to expedite their registration in the Electoral Register.
From November 20, 2024, to January 21 of this year, a total of 5,221 young people completed this procedure for the first time, and of them, 878 expedited their registration, thus securing their right to participate in this extraordinary electoral process. To serve the citizens, the service hours of the attention modules will be extended on Sundays, February 2 and 9, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
To carry out this procedure, documentation such as the original birth certificate, a valid photo ID, and a recent proof of address are required. To consult information about the accepted documents or the location of the attention modules, the INE provides its website (ine.mx) and the phone line 800 433 2000.
The National Electoral Institute reaffirms the importance of carrying out these procedures within the established deadlines, highlighting its commitment to ensuring the exercise of the right to vote and promoting participation in this democratic process.
