Coordinated Security Checkpoints in Querétaro

The municipal governments of Querétaro, El Marqués, Corregidora, and Huimilpan are maintaining preventive checkpoints in border areas as part of security actions agreed upon by their mayors.

The mayor of Querétaro, Felipe Fernando Macías, along with the mayor of Corregidora, Josué Guerrero, and the mayor of El Marqués, Rodrigo Monsalvo, conducted a tour of Highway 500 to supervise the joint operations led by their police departments.

"With coordination, strategy, and professionalism, we will continue to improve and strengthen our operational capacities to ensure the safety of our citizens," noted Macías Olvera.

Josué Guerrero mentioned that the checkpoints aim to stop the entry of suspicious vehicles, while Rodrigo Monsalvo pointed out that the mayors' commitment will be to protect the inhabitants of the metropolitan area.

"We will strengthen surveillance and closely monitor any suspicious behavior, thus enhancing security throughout the urban area," said Guerrero Trápala.

It is worth noting that the checkpoints were implemented following the incident at the Los Cantaritos bar on November 9, after which measures were also standardized for the regulation of establishments selling alcoholic beverages.
