Tragedy in Querétaro Bar Claims Ten Lives

The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, reported on Monday about the detention of an individual related to the tragedy at a bar in Querétaro that resulted in the death of ten people, including a member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel nicknamed 'La Flaca.' The precise details of this incident are expected to be revealed on Tuesday during a conference led by the security cabinet.

Local media identified Fernando González, known as 'La Flaca,' as the main victim of the four armed men who entered the bar 'Los Cantaritos.' 'La Flaca' was already known to Mexican authorities due to his arrest on at least two occasions over the past year on charges related to weapons and recruiting hitmen through social media.

The attack at the bar not only resulted in human losses but also left thirteen people injured, highlighting the violence generated by conflicts among different cartels in Mexico. Fernando González, an alleged member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, was killed amid a territorial conflict with the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel.

Sheinbaum mentioned that the attackers had a specific target in mind and that several lines of investigation are being pursued to clarify the motives behind this tragic event.
