The match between Gallos and Xolos ended in a draw, despite the efforts of the Querétaro team to react and create goal opportunities. Unfortunately, the expulsion of José Canale in the 11th minute affected the development of the match, leaving the team at a numerical disadvantage early on.
After the match, Gallos coach Benjamín Mora mentioned that the expulsion influenced the result and highlighted the importance of refreshing to face new challenges. "We need to erase the victories and defeats, and focus on the next challenge. It's great that it's Wednesday because we are thirsty for revenge," Mora expressed looking forward to the next match against Pachuca.
The first goal of the match was scored by Adonis Preciado of the home team in the 32nd minute, while Unai Bilbao managed to equalize the score in stoppage time of the first half. In the second half, Xolos took the lead thanks to Emanuel Reynoso who capitalized on a defensive oversight by the Querétaro team to score in the 51st minute.
The next challenge for Gallos will be the match against Pachuca on Wednesday, January 29, at the La Corregidora stadium at 19:00 hours, where they will seek to reverse the situation and achieve a victory to redeem themselves after the draw against Xolos.
