The state government of Querétaro allocated 10 million pesos to carry out restructuring and conservation work on the facade and foundation of the Templo de Santa Rosa de Viterbo, located in the Historic Center of the capital. The state leader, Mauricio Kuri, along with the mayor of Querétaro, Felipe Fernando Macías, inspected the progress of the work, which consists of several stages.
In the first phase of the foundation work, the placement of 69 micropiles with steel cores and mortar, 28 concrete micropiles, and a 50-meter-long concrete beam that connects the micropiles was carried out. In the second stage of the facade, surface cleaning, consolidation, and mural painting are being conducted, as well as reintegration work of the plastering and mural painting in a restored surface of 728 square meters.
In the words of Governor Mauricio Kuri about the importance of this restoration: "This is a temple that deserves all our effort for its restoration, it is an emblematic place in our city and we are committed to its conservation." The work on the Templo de Santa Rosa de Viterbo is part of a broader effort to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Querétaro.
