The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) announced the detention of 20 people for various administrative offenses during the operation prior to the Holy Week celebrations in Querétaro. The head of the agency, Iován Pérez Hernández, reported that elements of the State Police carried out a high-force operation in targeted areas of the capital, conducting patrols through roads, streets, neighborhoods, and communities.
According to Pérez Hernández, "20 people were detained for committing an administrative offense in public spaces, thus helping to create safe environments for citizens passing through those areas." These detentions were carried out after identifying individuals whose actions compromised the safety of citizens.
The objective of these actions is to ensure a peaceful Holy Week in the region, as explained by the head of the SSC. Additionally, it was reported that preventive work will be maintained in public squares, tourist sites, and commercial corridors to preserve safety during this holiday period.
