The Querétaro Friendship Tournament 2024 concluded successfully, with the Himalaya International School Monterrey and Prepa Anáhuac México Campus Cumbres being highlighted for their excellent performance and commitment to the values of the Semper Altius Network of Schools and the Anáhuac Prepa Network. More than 45,000 people attended the event, which featured the participation of young athletes from Mexico, Central America, and the Philippines, establishing itself as the largest school event in the world.
At the Friendship Tournament, recognized figures in sports and media such as Luis García, Gerardo Torrado, and Miguel Layún shared inspiring messages emphasizing the importance of parental support, the resilience of young people, and making decisions with determination. This tournament transcends sports competition by being a platform for the integral formation of young people, promoting values of respect, solidarity, and perseverance.
One of the most significant moments was the presentation of the Friendship Cup, recognizing the teams that best represented the values of Fair Play. The venue for the next tournament will be announced soon, keeping alive the anticipation for the 42nd Friendship Tournament. The Semper Altius Network of Schools and the Anáhuac Prepa Network have turned this event into a tradition that strengthens the community and prepares students for global challenges.
During nine days, 9,200 young people competed in 12 sports disciplines, leaving a mark on their communities and highlighting the importance of unity, perseverance, and respect. Father Benjamín Clariond, general director of the tournament, thanked everyone involved for daring to dream of something great. Inés Sainz expressed her honor and excitement for being part of an event that unites through sports.
