Qrobús Introduces Bank Card Payments | Ours Abroad News

Starting this Friday, all Qrobús units that make up the trunk routes will now accept payment by bank card, according to information provided by the Mobility Agency of the State of Querétaro (Ameq). This measure aims to benefit more than 45% of transportation users, equivalent to more than 212,000 people who use the 13 trunk routes of the service daily.

The introduction of this payment method will make it easier for users to access public transportation in a more convenient way. The valid bank cards for this service are those from Visa and Mastercard with contactless technology. However, it is important to mention that payment by bank card will not be valid for free transfers, unlike the prepaid card used previously.

According to Ameq's instructions, those interested in using this payment method must verify that their cards have contactless technology, also known as tap technology. Subsequently, they can identify the stations and/or units that accept this form of payment and, when boarding, place the card on the validator's reader until they hear the tone that confirms that the charge has been successfully made.

It is worth noting that the Qrobús trunk routes are connected to the 5 de Febrero and Constituyentes stations, where the validators already accept payment by bank card. This initiative aims to modernize and make the public transportation system in Querétaro more efficient, providing users with more comfortable and accessible payment options.
