The state government of Querétaro has announced a series of social programs aimed at benefiting more than 100,000 people, representing a 33% increase compared to current beneficiaries. These eight programs are designed to assist different groups in society, including newborns, the elderly, women, men, youth, and agricultural workers.
One of the announced programs is "With You and Your Baby," which will monthly support mothers and their children under a thousand days old, prioritizing breastfeeding and hygiene to improve the care of newborns. For the elderly, two programs will be allocated: "With You at Your Table," which will provide bimonthly delivery of 30 basic food products, and "Senior Club," which aims to create spaces for socializing and activation, with at least one club per municipality serving the elderly three times a week.
Among the announced programs is also the expansion of support from the "With You Card" for Querétaro women aged 18 to 60, as well as a program aimed at working mothers who will receive a thousand pesos monthly to cover childcare costs. For youth, the strategy "Youth With You" will be implemented, providing monthly support of a thousand pesos to students aged 18 to 29. Additionally, the program "With You Dad" has been created to support parents aged 18 to 60 with an income of less than 12,500 pesos.
Governor Mauricio Kuri stated that these state programs will complement federal support and that Querétaro stands out as a benchmark in social assistance at the national level. The Secretary of Social Development, Luis Nava, detailed that the fund of 717 million pesos will come from a redirection of resources from different ministries to ensure that priority groups cover their expenses and basic needs.
This initiative seeks to guarantee comprehensive support to individuals from birth to adulthood, ensuring that no one is left behind and providing conditions for everyone to thrive.
