Venezuelan Player Joins Querétaro for LMB 2025

The Queretaro team of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) is preparing its roster for the 2025 season, which will begin in April. The incorporation of Venezuelan player Luis Sardinas has been confirmed, who has extensive experience in both the United States and Mexico.

Sardinas, born in Upata, Venezuela, played in Major League Baseball for five seasons between 2014 and 2018, representing the Texas Rangers and the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2022, he had his best performance with a batting average of .359, with 16 home runs and 54 RBIs, which earned him a selection for the All-Star Game. In addition to his remarkable offense, he is noted for his versatility in the infield, being able to play multiple positions.

The arrival of Sardinas is seen as a key point to strengthen the Queretaro team, which aims to surpass its performance in the previous season, where they made it to the playoffs but were affected by a lack of effectiveness at the end of the campaign. With this reinforcement, "Los Bombarderos de Huimilpan" begin their process of consolidation as a contender in the LMB 2025.

During his time in Major League Baseball, Sardinas accumulated 103 hits, including 12 doubles and 5 home runs. In Mexico, the infielder has had notable performances in recent years with teams like Leones de Yucatán, Mariachis de Guadalajara, and Guerreros de Oaxaca.
